For over 125 years we have been striving to give our customers the highest
quality photography possible. Special attention is given, even to the smallest details, to
make our customers, and subject matter look great. Four generations ago, our legacy as a
portrait studio began, and has carried on strongly to the present. The third generation,
Ken Cook, and the fourth generation, Jason Cook, currently are carrying on the family tradition.
Our service starts with a complimentary engagement session. This session allows
you to put a picture in the newspaper or on display at the wedding. There is no charge for
the newspaper prints needed. This session also allows us to get to know you as a couple
before the wedding in a photographic setting.
The day of the wedding we are your “Slave” for the day. We have no time or
picture limitation. Our answer to our clients needs is “YES”, it is very hard for us to say
no to any request. On average we usually photograph between 300-500 planned images
during a wedding. You will find some photographers shoot pictures like a machine gun
and they will take 4 and 5 shots of the same picture trying to get one good one. The
images that we shoot are very calculated and don’t need 6 copies to make sure it is good.
We present these 4x5 portraits in an album. This album is your record of the day and it is
yours to keep. This album will be used to help place your order. During the day the
photographer and assistant will capture any portraits you desire. Our style is called
classic wedding photography. This style of shooting incorporates everything formal to
candid photography. About a week before the wedding we will have a consultation with
you to decide what pictures you would like.
After the wedding is over, about two weeks after the event we will have your
proof album ready. From this album you will select your choices for you wedding story
album starting with 24 8x10 matted prints in a leather bound album. This album also
includes a 10 X 20 panoramic page. 2-16x20 wall prints are also included. If you have digital needswe can accommodate them. We photograph all of our
pictures using medium format negatives. The negatives can be digitized, put onto a
DVD, and displayed online for viewing and purchasing, this service isavailable upon request. If you choose to do this, we will give you special cards to give to your guests
the day of the wedding that will have a username and password. This service also allows
you the choice to upgrade your basic 24 8x10 album to a 24 10x10 side album. There is not really a limit to how many images can be put on a side, but 1-4 seems to look the best.
Earlier we mentioned that we use medium format film. Film still gives superior
clarity and flesh tone in photographs. We develop the film in house in our full service
lab. We also have an artist on staff to take care of your touch up requests.
The above stated represents our basic wedding coverage. Please call for current pricing for this package.
